Holmboe i Horsens - classical music festival

Horsens is known for its commitment to culture and the arts, and every year in March, the city puts classical music front and centre with the festival “Holmboe i Horsens”.

In 2017 the festival will be on the weekends March 3th till 5th plus 10th till 12th.

We look forward to welcoming audiences to two weekends of exciting classical musical experiences.

Holmboe in Horsens means:

• High-quality classical concerts – mainly chamber music and vocal performances

• Concerts aimed at children, young people and families

• Experimental presentations and surprising venues

• Various musical events

• Workshops and didactic projects

The festival is named after Danish composer Vagn Holmboe (1909-1996), who features in part in the festival’s programme. Holmboe's music is presented in events and concerts, but the overall goal of the festival is to present classical and new music to a broad audience.
