Holmboe i Horsens - classical music festival

Horsens is known for its commitment to culture and the arts, and every year in March, the city puts classical music front and centre with the festival “Holmboe i Horsens”.

In 2018 the festival will be in October or November. Stay updated on this website.

We look forward to welcoming audiences to one week of exciting classical musical experiences. See the program here.

Holmboe in Horsens means:

• High-quality classical concerts – mainly chamber music and vocal performances

• Concerts aimed at children, young people and families

• Experimental presentations and surprising venues

• Various musical events

• Workshops and didactic projects

The festival is named after Danish composer Vagn Holmboe (1909-1996), who features in part in the festival’s programme. Holmboe's music is presented in events and concerts, but the overall goal of the festival is to present classical and new music to a broad audience.
